what if i need to board less than 5 days?
We welcome shorter stays, but the minimum fee is $325 (5 nights' boarding).
Considerable time and expense goes into cleaning and sanitizing the space after each client. Liquid Kitty is meant for longer stays - kitties need time to adjust to a new environment, so a cat sitter might be a better option for a long weekend or short trips.

Do you offer discounts for rescues?
I understand the challenges of rescue and certainly like to help out when possible. As a private boarding facility, there is only one boarding room available.
If the room is unoccupied, I can offer a rescue discount of 40%. Cats must be affiliated with a rescue, and have proof of recent vaccinations and flea treatment.
I can take up to 4 adult cats or 8 kittens at a time.

Abandonment:
Liquid Kitty is bound by California law concerning the abandonment of pets. In the case of abandonment, your emergency contact will be notified, and a charge of $500 will be levied on the credit card on file for rehoming. The Los Angeles city code spells out euthanasia for such circumstances, but I don’t believe in punishing a cat for bad human behavior. Instead, I will post your picture on our social media pages and forever damn your name in my monthly witching circles.
Civil Code Section 1834.5
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, whenever any animal is delivered to any veterinarian, dog kennel, cat kennel, pet-grooming parlor, animal hospital, or any other animal care facility pursuant to any written or oral agreement entered into after the effective date of this section, and the owner of such animal does not pick up the animal within 14 calendar days after the day the animal was due to be picked up, the animal shall be deemed to be abandoned. The person into whose custody the animal was placed for care shall first try for a period of not less than 10 days to find a new owner for the animal, and, if unable to place the animal with a new owner, shall thereafter humanely destroy the animal so abandoned.
